As many of us slog through college textbooks or reports at work, more than one equestrian has asked themselves: should I consider a career working with horses? For many, the realities of life both within the horse world and out, a job mucking stalls, being a professional trainer or a veterinarian is not an option. Most riders and owners are well aware of the heavy costs associated with horses, ranging from stabling, health care, training and veterinary bills. Earning a low hourly wage is not practical to comfortably support family, horse care and the necessities of life.
