I created this site because I felt there was a gap in the online equestrian community. We all visit our favourite bulletin boards, online tack stores and miscellaneous online literature daily. Why isn’t there a portal that links to all your favourite sites? I am hoping this will become that portal, for amateurs and professionals of every discipline. I would love to hear from people and get more suggestions for any sites that are fun, educational or just provide something interesting for other equestrians.
My riding experience spans a decade and a half, ranging from hunters to racehorses. I was privileged as a young rider to receive coaching from some of the finest equestrian athletes in the country. I have actively schooled young horses, reschooled horses off the track and had the opportunity to work with some superb warmbloods. Although I have competed in almost every discipline (except western, in which I would love to barrel race!), my main focus is bringing along my horse Spiker for lower-level eventing. There have been several setbacks over the years such as his health problems including his eye enucleation, but we continue to work together.
I hope that this site becomes a valuable resource for you, and I look forward to watching it along with our readership grow!
Morning,
Loved your clinic notes.
I noticed on the Tack of the Day website that it’s a US supplier that doesn’t ship to Canada. Do you know differently?
Off to my lesson with Dior.
Cheers for now.
Hi there Kingcroft!
An alternative to Tack of the Day for Canadian residents is Horseloverz.com. Horseloverz has a “Deal of the Day” which has one or two items for sale each day at closeout prices. Horseloverz not only ships to Canada (2-3 days for Eastern Canada, 5-6 days for Western Canada) but frequently has “Free Shipping” promotions that also apply to Canadian residents. If you go the Deal of the Day webpage, you can sign up for email alerts that notify you once daily of the newest deal.
I definately agree about the mid-size horse division!
